1990 Frapin Grand Champagne Cognac 30 Years

3 items left

Timeless Elegance from Grande Champagne

The 1990 Frapin Grand Champagne Cognac 30 Years is a masterclass in balance and finesse. Crafted from grapes grown in the renowned Chez Piet vineyard and aged patiently in the estate’s ancient cellars, this rare vintage celebrates thirty years of slow transformation. Each bottle captures the subtle alchemy of time, climate, and craftsmanship that defines Frapin’s artistry.

Expect a Cognac of remarkable poise – supple, bright, and indulgently complex. Its signature richness and length on the palate reveal why Frapin remains a benchmark for single-estate Cognac. This 1990 vintage stands out for its depth of flavour, graceful maturity, and ability to convey the spirit of an exceptional harvest year.

Production:

The 1990 vintage was harvested, distilled on the lees, and aged entirely at Frapin’s Grande Champagne estate. Distillation on the lees enhances body and aromatic depth, while three decades of ageing in Limousin oak casks impart structure, warmth, and subtle rancio character. Each barrel is monitored and blended by hand, ensuring perfect harmony between fruit, spice, and oak.

Pairing Suggestions:

Perfect alongside aged Comté, roasted hazelnuts, or dark chocolate truffles. Pairs beautifully with rich vegetarian dishes or slow-cooked game.

Tasting Note:

Elegant and harmonious with notes of candied orange, dried fig, and warm spice. The palate unfolds with layers of rancio, liquorice, and cigar box, leading to a silky, enduring finish.
