Tasting Note:  A limited edition Laphroaig released in 2021, this whisky's long maturation adds a compelling softness and honeyed character to the wild and coastal Laphroaig.  This stunning whisky has a gorgeous nose of roasted chestnuts, rich maple syrup, burning turf and peppercorns.  The palate is rich in mineral peat still, but with a floral citrus freshness and treacle-like sweetness too.  A long smoky and coastal finish concludes a beautiful drop of whisky.

With it's long and fascinating distilling history, Laphroaig has captured the attention of whisky drinkings for it's distinctively peaty, medicinal style. Indeed, such is it's oily, medicinal character that it's one of the few spirits permitted to be imported, sold and consumed in America during prohibition - so long as it was prescribed by a Doctor!
