Tasting Note:  As close as you can get to drinking delicious Laphroaig at the distillery, the Cask Strenght offers an unfiltered, emphatic, pure expression of this distillery's character.  Rich vanilla fudge, citrus peel, iodine, earthy bonfire and chilli-chocolate warmth shine through.  Full bodied, surprisingly sweet, unmistakably smoky, and with a seaweed herbal touch on the end, this is Laphroaig at it's punchy, peaty, prolific best.

An icon of Islay, Laphroaig is perhaps the best known peated whisky in the world. With it's long and fascinating distilling history, Laphroaig has captured the attention of whisky drinkings for it's distinctively peaty, medicinal style. Indeed, such is it's oily, medicinal character that it's one of the few spirits permitted to be imported, sold and consumed in America during prohibition - so long as it was prescribed by a Doctor!
