The ultimate luxury, Balblair 25 is a ludicrously velvety soft whisky, with utterly stunning flavours. Matured in ex-Bourbon and 1st Fill Spanish Sherr Oak barrels for 25 long slow years, this is a woody, leathery, plush feeling whisky, which surprises with the freshness of fruit. Indulgent apricot jam, oily orange zest, chocolate praline, polished leather and wood; A full bodied, luscious palate, with gentle tobacco leaf, and a warming, smooth finish with chocolate and blood orange. Velvety, luxurious and elegant.

Authenticity is at the core of Balblair Distillery, and it shines through in their stunning whiskies. The beautiful distillery sits nestled in a remote and unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the North of Scotland. This mystic home was once a Pictish meeting place, as testified by the amazing Clach Biorach standing stone which sits next to the distillery to this day.
A timeless, traditional feel imbues the distilling practices at Balblair, which are very hands-on and traditional. Distillery Manager John MacDonald uses an exceptionally long 62 hour fermentation and a very slow 4.5 hour distillation to create a new make of unique character and flavour. Balblair whisky is then matured in finest oak casks on site, bottled at peak perfection.
