‘Caduro’ (named after an international cable brand made at the former Wire Works) is a unique vatting of White Peak's core lightly-peated Derbyshire single malt matured in a combination of American and French oak, both first fill ex-bourbon and White Peak’s signature STR Casks (re-conditioned wine barriques that have been shaved, toasted and re-charred). The selection of STR casks, and proportion of French oak used for Caduro adds extra fruit depth and intensity to the lightly-peated spirit.
Caduro is the founding member of the Provenance Core Range. Each release embodies their philosophy — a flavour-before-cask approach to whisky-making, rooted in a deep respect for Derbyshire’s industrial heritage and legacy of innovation. Every drop is made with a commitment to full life-cycle provenance at the Wire Works, with mashing, fermentation, distillation and maturation all carried out onsite.
