Stauning’s Dirty Bastard is a daring new chapter for rye whisky lovers, and it’s here to push the limits. Crafted from Danish rye and barley, floor-malted right at Stauning Distillery, Dirty Bastard is triple-matured for an intense, multi-layered flavour experience. After three years in virgin American oak, the whisky undergoes a secondary ageing in smoky mezcal, and earthy tequila casks, finishing up in stout barrels from Danish legends To Øl and Fanø Bryghus. This triple-barrel treatment brings a thrilling richness and depth, packing each sip with a full spectrum of character.
As the fourth release in Stauning’s innovative Research Series, Dirty Bastard is a testament to Stauning’s creativity. The series is their experimental playground, where they craft some of their boldest, most innovative whiskies.
In every bottle, you get Stauning’s commitment to traditional craftsmanship. Double-distilled in small, open-fired pot stills, this whisky is left unfiltered and unchill-filtered, meaning some natural residue may appear, further enhancing its raw, authentic feel.
Whether you’re a whisky enthusiast or a curious adventurer, Stauning’s Dirty Bastard delivers a unique, thrilling drinking experience.
Tasting Note:The profile is full-bodied and complex, offering a heady mix of spiced grain, cinnamon, and dark cocoa notes, backed by earthy tobacco and a creamy hint of dark chocolate. Vanilla and roasted nuts add a touch of sweetness, while a subtle kick of chili and dark beer undertones give it a unique edge. The result is an unforgettable whisky that harmoniously blends smoky, spicy, and darkly sweet notes with an almost tangible intensity.
