Crafted from locally sourced Danish rye and barley, the grains are floor-malted on-site; a rare, labour-intensive process that gives this whisky its deeply rooted character. The distillery uses heritage methods, opting for open-fired pot stills that add complexity and depth to each batch, ensuring that every drop captures the full essence of the raw ingredients.
With its natural, non-chill-filtered character, Stauning El Clásico retains the oils and complexity of its ingredients. A slight haze or residue might appear, a testament to the whisky's unfiltered authenticity.

Tasting Note:This Nordic spirit begins its maturation in virgin American oak casks, which imbue it with a robust structure and layers of vanilla and warm spice. But the finishing touch, and the reason for its name, is its final ageing in Spanish vermouth casks. The vermouth finish is where the real magic happens, imparting a bittersweet twist with herbal notes of wormwood, juniper, and botanicals that linger deliciously on the palate.
