Reflecting the long distilling history of Glenturret, the 10YO Peat Smoked harkens back to a time when peat was dug from the local water source and used to smoke-dry the barley, a practice common until the modern era.
The Glenturret 10 Years Old Peat Smoked celebrates the varying sources of peat now procured for Glenturret's smoky whiskies. The smoke flavours are constantly evolving and changing through time. This peated spirit style is matured in both first-fill and second-fill European and American oak casks. The resulting whisky forms a complex single malt that commands a higher strength of 48.4% ABV.
