Crafted to commemorate the historic Glenfarclas’ sponsorship of Cheltenham Racecourse, this limited-edition bottle celebrates the 15 champions of the Festival Glenfarclas Cross Country Steeple Chase Races. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold will directly support Racing Welfare, The Jockey Club’s charity partner. Presented at 46% abv, the special edition is limited to just 3,000 bottles.
The expression is sherry-influenced and made with peated barley, with aromas of light butterscotch and dried fruit. On the full-bodied palate, flavours of earthy peat, sherry and malty sweetness develop into a delectable lingering, smoky-sweet finish.
Category: Glenfarclas Scotland Sherry Cask Single Malt Speyside Whisky
Although the distillery itself can trace its roots back to 1836, it's the purchase of Glenfarclas Distillery by John Grant in 1865 which really set the trajectory of this Speyside distillery.
160 years on and the Grant family are still at the helm, with the same vision to produce exceptional quality single malt in the traditional fashion. From the traditionally fired stills to the use of only a single cask (the finest Oloroso Sherry Oak) for the entire maturation of their whiskies, the Grant family's careful curation and dedication to authentic whisky has made Glenfarclas one of the most loved brands of whisky fans.
Thanks to its long family history, Glenfarlcas has an impressive archive of casks dating back to the 1950s which it bottles periodically at cask strength under the "Family Cask Range".
Alongside this special series lies the age-statement whiskies which are consistently excellent value and world-famous for their quality.
