The Hakushu Distillery was opened to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its sister distillery, The Yamazaki. Located in the Southern Alps of Japan, Hakushu's tranquil mountain forest surroundings and cool climate are key to their whiskies impeccible quality. The clear, clean mountain water gives rise to a softer, gentler, more floral and mineral taste than those of Yamazaki, perfectly suited to long maturation in cask.
