Say hello to this year's 10 Years Old!
A continuation of the now annual release from Ardnamurchan. This whisky is a window into their oldest vintages. A rare chance to awaken slumbering gems from the farthest reaches of the dunnage warehouses.
The focus here is once again on bourbon-matured spirit, capturing vintages from 2014, 2015 and 2016, with a nearly 50/50 split of peated and unpeated distillate. A small amount of sherry cask-matured spirit adds depth, body, and complexity.
As the whisky hits its stride at 10 years old and above, we discover a tangible increase in the layering of flavour. The classic oily, fruity, maritime distillate, honed and polished for over a decade.
Tasting Note:Aromas of ripe mangoes, pineapple, and honey, with deeper notes of crème caramel, toffee, and white chocolate. A waxy, oily texture with flavours of linseed oil, gingerbread, and fresh pineapple.
Bottling strength is 46.8% ABV.
