Complex, elegant, and full of character, this single malt whisky is a delicious dram which unfolds in your glass, revealing itself over time, just like the island itself.
Made to our carefully refined blenders' recipe, they combine spirits which have been matured by the coastal village of Ardhasaig in selected first fill Ex-Bourbon casks, first fill Ex-Oloroso and Fino sherry butts.
Then they marry these spirits in batches for a minimum of 12 weeks to bring additional harmony to the final dram.
The result is an Outer Hebridean single malt of distinction that bears the elemental island's name.

Enjoying water with whisky has been part of Scottish heritage since the invention of the drink itself. Too often though, harder mineral or tap waters are added which can easily spoil this subtle and complex drink. As whisky drinkers, Larkfire wanted to find the purest, softest water untainted by minerals and this led them to the Isle of Lewis. Hard to get to, but worth the effort.
