A complex, dark and luscious whisky from GlenAllachie master blender and all-round genius Billy Walker. The 8-Year-Old is matured in a variety of casks including Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry puncheons, virgin oak, and red wine barriques.
Tasting note from the distillery:
Colour - Sunset Bronze.
Nose - Heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon, followed by waves of ginger, toasted almonds and mocha.
Taste - Lashings of treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
