Tasting Note: A lovely canteloup melon, orange, vanilla and cinnamon aroma, fruity and slightly tropical. A soft, sweet and very enjoyable palate, with added soft gingerbread spices, honeyed toast and a gorgeous texture.
The Glenrothes Distillery lies in the town of Rothes at the heart of Speyside. A sister-distillery to The Macallan which is nearby, The Glenrothes has long been sought after by master blenders for it's creamy, citrus-driven and gently spiced character.
Recently the range has been rebranded and the focus has shifted to age-statement whiskies as opposed to the vintage collection, though old bottles of meticulously aged vintages do still make the occasional appearance on the market and are well worth exploring.
