A thrilling new batch (3) of fabulous J.J. Corry's flagship whiskey: The Gael.

J.J. Corry was a renowned 'Whiskey Bonder' on the West Coast of Ireland in the 1890's. He sourced his whiskey spirit from a local distillery and brought it home to mature in specially selected casks, bottled only when the time was right.  Aside from whiskey, J.J. Corry also invented a bicycle in the 1890's which he named 'The Gael'.

This contains a 50:50 mixture of Single Malt and Single Grain whiskey, matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Sherry Casks, and including whiskey over 20-years-old!

Expect soft and delicious flavours of fresh apricot and lime, bergamot, beeswax, pink peppercorns and dried green apple. A gorgeous cereal note to the palate, like meusli in orange juice, beautifully smooth, soft, sweet, and easy-drinking Irish Whiskey.

About the distillery

J.J. Corry is an Irish Whiskey Bonder, operating out of a purpose-built Bonded Rackhouse on the McGuane Farm in Cooraclare, right along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Resurrecting the Lost Art of Irish Whiskey Bonding, founder Louise McGuane (a veteran of the drinks industry) has been sourcing new make spirit and mature Irish Whiskey from Irish distilleries and maturing, blending and bottling unique whiskeys.

Each cask is hand-picked by the team at J.J. Corry's to ensure it meets the high standards of casks, creating a library of exceptional Irish Whiskeys from which to craft their own blend.

The company takes it's name from 19th Century local whiskey bonder, entrepreneur and inventor, J.J. Corry.
