A little known Speyside Distillery, Glen Elgin produces elegant single malts, and benefits from maturation here in fruity, sweet bourbon barrels.  This small batch was distilled in 2010 and gives off zesty lemon, granny smith apple, gentle treacle tart and a grassy, herbal tang.

About the distillery

A little known distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland which began producing whisky in 1898. It grew in prominence during its ownership by White Horse Distillers who included it in their famous blended whiskies. Glen Elgin was fully rebuilt and trebled in size in 1964, though it retained a hands-on, traditional approach to distilling, despite the larger scale of production. It's owned today by the Diageo group and continues to provide quality Single Malt with a smooth, sweet and gently floral character.
