The Cotswolds Distillery was born from a dream to produce delicious spirits in one of the most beautiful regions in the world.
Founder Dan Szor, a native New Yorker, moved to the Cotswolds from London and when gazing upon fields of golden Cotswolds barley one day had a dream to be the first to distill it!
Working with renowned Whisky maestro Dr Jim Swan, the Cotswolds distillery opened in 2014 and very quickly established a reputation for excellent English Whisky. 100% local barley is malted at Britain's oldest maltings, before mashing and fermenting for 90 hours to allow the build up of complex esters which in turn create The Cotswold's signature fruity style.
The Cotswolds distillery also produces a range of Gins and Liqueurs. 150 individual botanical spirits in a whole range of different flavours were distilled to create over 60 individual gin recipes which was eventually whittled down to one finalist, and that became Cotswolds Dry Gin.
