A complex and delicious Single Malt all the way from the Port of Melbourne Australia. Melbourne's notoriously changeable climate results in whiskies which mature at a much faster rate than the more traditional whisky-making climates. For the Nova, Starward uses freshly-emptied red wine barrels from the nearby Barossa Valley. Easy access to these first rate casks also means that unlike many producers they can get their whisky into barrels the same day they're emptied. This maximises the impact of delicious flavours from the rich red wine barrels.
